Friday Quick Write #20: National LBGT Day of Silence
This student lead program is celebrating its 17th year of a Day of Silence. Hundreds of thousands of students nationwide will take a vow of silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in their schools.
During WWII many Jews, homosexuals, Gypsies, and many others had to hide their true identities. What does it feel like to keep a secret about yourself? Write a couple of paragraphs about this. If you don't have any secret, think about what it must feel like for others that do.
